Especially for Minis with more power it would often be desirable having a programmable injection control at hand, to amend ignition timing and amount of injected fuel to the changed characteristics of the engine. Unfortunately the original Rover MEMS does not allow altering the fixed settings and therefore the only possibility is increasing the fuel pressure at the fuel pressure valve. Because of this limitations we decided developing a tailor made EFI which could be easily plugged onto the original harness.

We are proud to present the first Plug-N-Play EFI for SPI Minis: the Ultimate Mini Squirt. (ums.)

In between Minis using ums. are running in Denmark, Austria, Spain, France, Switzerland, The United Kingdom, Finland and in Germany!

Important: ums. is NOT A Megasquirt, but only Megasquirt compatible! This was the biggest problem to overcome, because Megasquirt isn´t able to handle the SPI Trigger wheel and idle stepper (among other things). Only the ums can drive the exotic Mini stepper and take use of the unique trigger wheel installed in SPI Minis. This enables the first time a real Plug-N-Play and reduces the risk of installation errors during set-up to almost zero.
