Here I did a gadget for having a solid state fuel gauge using seven LEDs

Function is easy and user configurable: two jumpers let you select between the desired display mode.

Jumper one selects betweed Dot-Mode and Bar-Mode. In Dot-Mode only a single LED is lit at a time, showing you the fuel level in fractions of 1/7th.
In Bar-Mode all green LEDs form a bar which gets smaller along with the remaining fuel. (On the picture you can see display in Bar-Mode with 4/7th remaining)

If the fuel level gets to the remaining 1/7th, the red LED is lit.

The second Jumper is dedicated to the operation of the red LED and selects between steady or flashing mode.
Depending if Jumper two is set or not the red LED is blinking evey two seconds.

The whole PCB only uses standard parts (no surface mounted devices) and is trimmed to the resistor values of a standard Mini fuel gauge sender.

I don't expect large public interest but maybe this is a puzzle-piece someone was was looking for...

Price is less than 10 Euros if you can do the PCB yourself. For those interested I can provide PCB layout, Processor Program (for an Atmel ATMega-8) or pre-programmes µP for a few Euros..
